About Split PDF

Split a PDF into separate files, one for every page. A 12-page PDF becomes 12 single-page PDFs, named like report-page-01.pdf, which download together as one ZIP. You can add several PDFs and split them all in one go. Each page is copied unchanged, so text and images keep their quality. To save a range of pages as one file instead, use Extract pages.

How to Use

1

Add your PDFs

Drop one or more PDFs on the page, paste them with Ctrl+V, or click Choose PDFs. Each PDF is split on its own.

2

Split the pages

Press Split pages. The progress bar shows how far it has got, and Cancel stops it.

3

Download the pages

Each PDF gives a ZIP of single-page files, such as report-pages.zip. Click Download ZIP, open "Show the files" to save single pages, or use Download all (ZIP) after splitting several PDFs.

Rules & Limitations

  • Every page becomes its own file. You cannot choose where to split or keep a range together here; for that, use Extract pages.
  • Up to 100 MB per PDF. PDFs that need a password or are encrypted cannot be split until the protection is removed.
  • A one-page PDF gives back a single PDF rather than a ZIP.
  • Bookmarks and document details such as the title are not copied into the single-page files.

Split PDF FAQ

How do I split a PDF into separate pages?

Add the PDF, press Split pages and click Download ZIP. The ZIP holds one PDF per page, numbered in order, such as report-page-01.pdf, report-page-02.pdf and so on.

Can I split a PDF into two parts, such as pages 1-5 and 6-10?

Not with Split pages, which always makes one file per page. Use Extract pages twice instead: once with 1-5 and once with 6-10. Each run saves the pages you list as a new PDF.

Can I split several PDFs at once?

Yes. Add as many PDFs as you like before pressing Split pages. Each one gets its own ZIP of pages, and Download all (ZIP) saves everything in one go.

Does splitting a PDF reduce its quality?

No. Each page is copied into its new file as it is, without being turned into an image or recompressed, so text stays sharp and selectable.

Is there a page limit for splitting a PDF?

There is no page limit, only the 100 MB file limit. A PDF with hundreds of pages takes longer and needs more memory, so on a phone it may be slow.
